Our mission

Resurrection Church exists to see lives transformed by the love of God through the power of the Gospel.

beliefs

Resurrection Church seeks to simply have the authentic faith we see Jesus’ followers embrace in the Bible.
In Acts 2:42, we read about the newly baptized believers in Jesus:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

THE FOLLOWING IS A SUMMARY of Resurrection Church’s STATEMENT OF FAITH. WE BELIEVE IT IS WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES AND WHAT AUTHENTIC FOLLOWERS OF JESUS HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED.

    • We believe there is only one true God. (Deut 6:4 - He has existed forever in three persons. Gen 1:26; Mat 3:16-17; Mat 28:19)

    • We believe God the Father is the creator and sustainer of the universe. (Gen. 1:1)

    • We believe God has sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save us from the consequence of sin, death, and eternal damnation. (John 3:16-18; Romans 3:21-26)

    • We believe in a spirit-filled living relationship with Jesus Christ. (John 15:1-11; John 1:17; John 14:15-18; Matthew 28:18-20; Galatians 5:22-23)

    • We believe in the resurrection of the body, the judgment of all, and the eternal life of the world to come. (Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:19-29; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 2:7)

    • Resurrection Church believes that the Holy Spirit works through God's word to bring us back into a right relationship with God through faith in Jesus. (Colossians 3:13-15; Ephesians 2:1-10; Romans 1:16-17; Romans 10:17; 1 Thess 1:5 & 2:13; Isaiah 55:10-11; 1 Peter 1:23-25)

    • Resurrection Church believes that the Holy Spirit indwells believers, convicting us of what we do wrong, of the right things we should do, and that one day we’ll be stand and be judged (John 16:8). The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live holy (set-apart) and Christ-like lives. (1 Peter 1:14-16, 2 Cor. 3:18)

    • We believe the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit, inerrant, and the authority for life and salvation. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:16-21; John 17:17)

    • We believe in the holy Christian church throughout all the Earth. (Ephesians 2:11-22; 1 Peter 2:4-10; Revelation 7:9-17)

    • We believe that the Lord has established the local congregation of believers to shepherd and care for believers and reach out together with the gospel. (John 13:34-35; Hebrews 10:24-25; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Peter 5:1-5; Hebrews 13:17; Titus 1:5)

    • We believe God has given His church two great gifts in baptism and the Lord's supper. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 16:14-15; Acts 16:30-33; Luke 18:15-17; Galatians 3:26-29; Colossians 2:11-14; Titus 3:5-7; 1 Peter 3:18-22; Romans 6:3-6; Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 10:16; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29; Acts 2:42)

    • We believe man and all creation fell from an original state of perfection into sin and brokenness. (Genesis 3, Romans 5:12-17, Romans 8:18-25)

values

OUR VALUES AT RESURRECTION CHURCH

THE BIBLE MATTERS | YOU MATTER | TRUTH MATTERS | SERVING MATTERS

  • Resurrection Church takes the Bible very seriously. What we sing, what we preach, and how we do everything that we do is informed by who Jesus is and what He has done, according to the scriptures. From Genesis to Revelation, we read, study, sing, preach, and celebrate all of it!

  • People were created as the pinnacle of God’s creation; we all bear His image. Therefore, regardless of who you are, where you come from, or what your history is, we believe YOU matter. Come as you are, expect Him to transform you, by His love, through the power of the Gospel.

  • Resurrection Church understands truth to be absolute and objective. The word of God is true and trustworthy. Some of what our pastors preach might feel uncomfortable, and that’s okay. The truth is often uncomfortable, but we love you enough to tell the truth. God is still working on all of us!

  • Whether we’re gathering together, giving generously, serving our neighbors, singing, playing, teaching, greeting, broadcasting, planning, or anything we do, it isn’t an obligation, it’s a privilege. We’re investing in eternity. We don’t HAVE to do this, we GET to do this.
